NOTICE:
Equine Influenza - 07/09/2007
As you
may be aware the latest
topic has been the horse flu and how
that is affecting any events where
horses are present.
Our Show Secretary has
spent the last couple of days
speaking to HorseSA, Primary
Industries (PIRSA) and downloading
their guidelines from the internet,
Belvidere Pony Club, local horse
owners who help at the show, and
even a Kapunda horse identity who herself got caught
in the lockdown at Wentworth show
grounds) and has received emails from
the Equestrian Federation and the Ag
Societies Council in Adelaide.
After careful deliberation we
have came
to the decision that this year we
regretfully cancel the horses at the Eudunda Show,
to reduce the risk to the Horse
Industry and the Show.
