Show Planning Begins For 2018

Eudunda Show AGM - 23rd March 2018

The AGM of the Eudunda Show Society will be held this Friday night and that marks the beginning of the planning for the 2018 show.

After reaching the 120th milestone last year the committee is set to meet the challenges of a new year and another show. New ideas are always welcome along with new members onto the committee.

November may seem a long way away but the wheels are set in motion now to ensure that all is ready for another successful show for everyone to enjoy. This year the show will be on Remembrance Day and the show committee will be working with the Eudunda RSL to put aside time on show day to commemorate this occasion

Costs are increasing yearly with building insurance, power & maintenance, costing the Show Society $13 per day ($4,745 for the year).

Not only is the committee looking for new members and new ideas but they also welcome new sponsors. The cost of running the show is ever increasing. To just have the buildings on the grounds, which includes insurance, power & maintenance, it costs the show society $13/day. To put on the show itself is an extra $42/day.

We appreciate and thank all of those people who donate in any way to assist with these costs. We also appreciate and thank those people who volunteer their time to help with setting up, running and also tidying up after the show.

We invite all members of the community to come along to the AGM and to consider putting their hand up in some way to help with putting together the 2018 Eudunda Show.

Successful Clearing Sale Fundraiser

Thanks to Richard & Desiree Schulz for the invitation to the Eudunda Show Committee to do the catering at thier clearing sale, the Committee were able to raise valuable funds to support the show this year.

Show Committee Members Paul & Melinda Schutz, Paul & Helen Schiller, Wendy Oliver, Dagmar Roocke & Peter Herriman say,
“Thank You to all who attended the sale and supported the show. We had a great day!”

A very special thank you to Andrew Heidrich for helping cook the BBQ all day (we have singled Andrew out as he is not even on the Committee, but was willing to help on the day).

Support the Show Stall At Eudunda Christmas Party 8th Dec

Come to the Eudunda Christmas Street Parade & Party on the 8th December 2017.

The  Eudunda Show Committee will be supporting this great community event and fun for families.

First look out for the Show Committee’s Float and give them a wave, and then we will have a fundraising stall at the Eudunda Gardens for the Street Party.
There we will be selling “Show Bags” for $5. The contents will be worthwhile. We might have a few other items too, with Skipping Ropes and Garden Flowers being a highlight. It seems like it will be a cool night – so bring warm clothes and stay till late to listen to live music.

Half the World’s Population will be to the North of Australia by 2020, and Australia is well positioned to be able to feed them, with employment through farming and areas like retail, logistics, processing and many more.

Farming has and always will be an important earner in the Australian Economy.

To tell the impressive story that is Australian agriculture, the National Farmers’ Federation’s (NFF) has released its updated Food, Fibre & Forestry Facts publication. Just in time for National Agriculture Day, on Tuesday 21 November.
