Eudunda Show cancelled – BUT

The Eudunda Show committee is very grateful to Primary Industries and Regions SA for a grant that they have received which will allow them to hold a community event in November.

The Eudunda Show for 2020 has been cancelled as are most of the shows in South Australia for this year. It was decided that there was no point in having the regular show competitions as there are no regional or state aggregate competitions and all points that were gained in 2019 will now roll over until 2021.

The committee felt that it was still very important for our community to be able to gather together for a social day where they could enjoy each other’s company and spend time sharing and caring for one another. Plans are now underway for such an event to happen though the committee is still aware that there may be regulations that the government may have in place due to COVID-19.

The Australia Army Band will be back again along with various other forms of entertainment, food and variety stalls for the people.

The show committee is looking for local groups, from within the Eudunda and Robertstown communities, who would be interested in having a trade site to sell their products or to sell food or drinks. Please contact the secretary on 0408 353 906 or send message to our Secretary as soon a possible to register your interest.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions the Annual Meeting of the Show Society could not be held in March as normal. It will now be held on Wednesday 12th August at the Eudunda Hotel (Top Pub).

Everyone is welcome to attend and join the committee for tea and social time prior to the meeting. (booking directly with the Top Pub for a meal will help them to plan better too – ring 8581 1002).
